Alan commenced his career in the banking industry in 1976 and worked for the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Ltd and then National Australian Bank until 1987 when he took up a position as Branch Manager of the State Building Society at Grafton. Following the merger with St George Building Society, Alan then moved from Grafton to manage the St George Branch at Taree prior to commencing his financial planning career as a St George Financial Planner in 1990.
He completed his Diploma in Financial Planning in 1992 and became a Certified Financial Planner in 1993 with studies continuing since then in various specialist areas including aged care financial advice. On 5 occasions Alan received the award of St George Financial Planner of the year and was twice a finalist in the George employee of the year award.
In 2008, Alan accepted St George’s offer to transfer from the St George financial planning dealership to the Securitor Group and become self employed.
Alan was also one of 3 finalist as NSW Securitor Adviser of the year 2015 and installed by Beddoes Institute in the most Trusted Adviser Network.
In June 2019, Alan transferred the advice license from Securitor to Alliance Wealth.
On a personal note, Alan has served in local government for three terms in the former Greater Taree City Council first becoming elected in 2004 serving as Deputy Mayor.
His other interests include, sport ( particularly cricket.. where he could be described as a tragic!!) Music, Arts, and he is also a member of both Rotary and Lions. Alan is a life member of Manning Junior Cricket and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow. Alan is committed to remaining focused on service and being available to assist clients when they are most in need of assistance.
Jonathon commenced working for Your Heritage Financial Planning in 2009. He has completed his Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is enrolled to complete further post graduate studies. To gain experience Jonathon moved to Sydney in 2013 and worked for 2 years in a city firm, before returning back to Your Heritage Financial Planning as a Director.
Jonathon’s expertise is in the area of insurance and feels strongly about the need for young families to be fully covered in the unfortunate event that may prevent one or both parents unable to provide for their family.
Jonathon’s interests include Rugby League having played in competitions in Sydney, Newcastle and Mid North Coast.
Jonathon has served as an executive for Old Bar Pirates Rugby League, Manning Businessmen’s Association, and he is a member of a branch of Business Network International.
In a team environment, having control over client service work flows and quality benchmarks, ensures both a smooth operation but high quality service delivery.
Narelle’s reputation for quality service is legendary to the extent that she is a national award winner for service, being the employee of the year, when employed by St George Building Society.
Narelle who has worked with Alan Tickle since 1993, has completed the Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning)
Her role includes day to day client service & paraplanning support to the Managing Director in advice implementation and preparation.
Suzanne McCarthy joined YHFP in May 2020 following the pending retirement of her former employer, a Taree based Financial Planner and Chartered Accountant.
Sue has had extensive experience working in the banking industry, accounting and financial planning.
Sue primarily provides client service and support to the Financial Planners in advice preparation and implementation.
Janet joined YHFP in May 2020 after many years employed by National Australian Bank Financial Planning.
Janet has had extensive experience working in the banking industry, and financial planning.
Janet, primarily provides client service and support to the Financial Planners in advice preparation and implementation and file maintenance.
Libby first worked with Alan in 1979 with National Australia Bank. Her primary role is managing accounts payable and the accounting requirements of the business.
